How it works

The manufacturer

01

Your vehicles

We read each vehicle

The data comes from the manufacturer on 30+ brands, with nothing to fit. Where a manufacturer does not open a model, we plug in a small Linkbycar box. Old or new, every vehicle is covered.

How coverage works
02

The data

We put every brand in one format

Position, mileage, fuel, battery and diagnostics arrive in the same format, whatever the brand. From them we work out a driver safety score, the battery's state of health, when a service is likely due and a record of each trip.

One format for every brand

Your work

You use it day to day

You get it on our screens, ready to use, or through the Linkbycar API, which your developers and their AI agents can build on. Customers use it to recover stolen vehicles, bring fleet costs down, prevent risk and certify batteries at resale.

Manufacturer data or a box?

We do both. Here is what each one can and cannot do

When a manufacturer opens a model, its data is the better source and there is nothing to fit. When it does not, a box is what works. Most fleets have both kinds of vehicle, so we use both.

From our own research

We reopened 2,054 settled theft claims and found 100 vehicles still transmitting.

That was months after the payouts. A vehicle that still transmits can still be found.
